I don't think you can, if I remember correctly. But I could be wrong, age is taking a toll on my mind.

Hi,

not sure about the actual turning off of the menu button but you can turn off the options within the button. You would need to do this in the ribbon xml by creating a table and writing a small snippit. search google for ribbonUI and you will find it.
