How do I set up a password entry which pops up on the database opening?

No user logons are required just a simple password!

I do not want to use the Access built in one as this is pretty un user friendly and if the database is transferred to a new pc, the password is no longer asked for.

Is there an easy way to set up one, which is built into my database?

What are you talking about? If you set the "Database Password" it does not change if you move it to another PC. If it does then you didn't do something right. The database password in all versions before 2007 is extremely easy to hack, and the 2007 version has a bit better encryption.

Creating your own will be very easily hacked.
