Here's my situation:
I have two work stations which I can't connect by a network, location too far apart, internet's not an option currently, but I want to share the data that's entered at the factory with the users at the office. I'm thinking of extracting the back end copy of my database from the factory at the end of the day, save it in a flash drive, and then replug the flash drive into the computer at the office, and tranfers the records into that copy of the database, every day. The problem is the flash drive's letter designation changes from computer to computer. Is there a way for me to store a copy of the access prgogramme that I use for the extraction in the flash drive inself, find the name of the flashdrive in which I need to safe the back end, and if possible starts the programme automatically once the flash drive is plugged in (if I can't start it automatically, then I'll just have to teach them to start it menually)? It seems a lot of to ask, so I'll appreciate any help. And if anyone has a better idea, please point it out to me cause what I'm thinking about seems unwieldy and unsafe, but that's the only solution I have so far.
Cheers.
