Parsing windows username

Hi Guys,

I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this but here I go anyway. I want to automatically parse the username of the windows user and limit the functionality of the database accordingly. In fact, I want to hide/show a specific button in a form based on the user using the database. However, I dont want the database to ask users to login. I want the identification to be done automatically.

Thank you for this. I need to find how to search the forum properly. I tried several searchs but didnt manage to get these. Wish all search engines were are smart as google.

A lot of the beter references are in the references forums, Using the search facilities you can limit your search to those forums, thus increasing your chances to find a premium in aid. Search> Advanced search > Search in forums

These threads are read only though but contain a wealth of knowledge and code.
