figured it out! While the database is in form tab, I clicked in the desired field and went to edit > find and placed astericks before and after the search word. *8/9/02* yielded all files with this date This worked! Thanks. CRO8

I incorporated 'auto number' as one of my fields in a form I am creating. I did a few test runs (entering info) and the auto number has increased to #9. Now, when I have completed testing, and begin to use my new database- the auto number field is inaccurate because it is a t #9 and not #1...
