I have buttons to a view and print a report on a form, easy! How do I get them to always print and view in landscape? It's really annoying me. It has been suggested I use the print out method but I don't see where landscape or portrait fits in with the syntax.

I have a problem with the main form in my program. It starts up and everything is working smoothly and as sweet as a nut. Then all of a sudden the buttons just decide to start to refuse to work. I just don't see why this could be. Has anyone else encountered or does anyone know why this...

I'm making a program to manage timesheets. It takes in all emloyee entries; the client they have worked for, the work they have done, the rate they have charged and the hours they have worked and works out how much to charge each client for each employee for each month. All timesheet entries...

I know this has got to be easy but how do I do it? All I want to do is print my report from a form in landscape page orientation. Sometimes Access just defaults to portrait for me, which is a little annoying to say the least when it doesn't fit on the page like that.

Haven'e read your question through properly but I have read the replies. Have you thought about using the Nz function to convert null's to zero length strings or another value of your choice. A text value maybe able to be compared and counted? Let me know how you get on, Will.

Haven't really got time to look arounf for you matey at the moment but one idea that pops into my head is to try DCOUNT. Just thought I'd give you one idea as no one else has replied. Haven't given it much thought so it could lead you completely the wrong way. Let us know how you get on, Will.

I've got a problem. I'm trying to use a cross tab query to generate a report. The thing is when data changes the number of column headings changes so the report (or the second query that I use before the final report) can't access the fields that have changed. Can anyone help with this? Am I...

If you just set the query to sort date ascending, (The drop down box in design grid), this should sort you out. You can use format to always display the date as medium date. Use the drop down menu for that too instead of doing it manually. Let me know if it helps, Will.

Sounds to me like you might want to look into cross tab queries. Not too sure exactly what everything is for but try reading up on this type of query. It could allow you to create a new field for every entry so in effect might achieve what you want. Address | A | B | C | D | E 112 abc 1 1...

Another solution is to use the criteria box in the design grid and enclose your caption in square brackets []. Hope this helps too, Let us know, Will.

If you just set sort in the design grid to ascending it should give them in the right order. I don't know if you've overlooked this, although it may not be what you are after. Let me know if this helps, Will.
