Attack on Israel (2 Viewers)

As a follow-up, it is clear that Hamas has used international sentiments according to principles from Sun Tzu's "Art of War"

“If your enemy is secure at all points, be prepared for him. If he is in superior strength, evade him. If your opponent is temperamental, seek to irritate him. Pretend to be weak, that he may grow arrogant. If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them. If sovereign and subject are in accord, put division between them. Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected .”

The whole point of the Hamas publication of those heart-wrenching pictures is the separation and division of public sentiment.

“Engage people with what they expect; it is what they are able to discern and confirms their projections. It settles them into predictable patterns of response, occupying their minds while you wait for the extraordinary moment — that which they cannot anticipate.”
You expect to see collateral damage in war, so Hamas makes it a point to show you pictures of damage and destruction. Those pictures occupy your minds and divert you from seeing the truth.

War is hell. We have not fought to win any war we've been in since WWII. Israel needs to stop trying to be Mr. Nice Guy trying to save civilians and start fighting to win the war. That may actually happen at midnight tonight. I hate giving up on saving the hostages but you can't let 20 people who may not even be alive dictate policy. That is why we say that we never negotiate with terrorists. You cannot win. You cannot even break even. The honest side ALWAYS loses. Israel is going to give up thousands of Hamas prisoners in exchange for the remaining hostages. They better not be stupid this time and release the Hamas terrorists before every missing hostage is accounted for.

There is no such thing as "good faith" when you are dealing with terrorists and the Israelis ought to have learned this lesson by now.

The terrorists win again. Yet another red line crossed and ignored.

Please clarify.
Grok provided this summary:
Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 6 p.m. ET was the deadline President Donald Trump set for Hamas to agree to his Gaza peace plan, which required the immediate release of all Israeli hostages (including the bodies of those killed) as a key condition. Under the plan's terms, Hamas would have had to free all remaining hostages within 72 hours of reaching that agreement. Trump warned that failure to meet the deadline would lead to severe consequences, stating in a social media post: “An Agreement must be reached with Hamas by Sunday Evening at SIX (6) P.M., Washington, D.C. time... If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas.”
Based on the example set by Trump for Iran missing a deadline, the bombs should start falling on Gaza very soon. Israel needs to define how this conflict will end, not Hamas. Hamas has no right to set any conditions. That belongs to Israel.

The deadline was missed almost 3 days ago. The media keeps talking about they're making progress. That is total bull. The US will not be participating in any attack. It is totally up to Israel. They don't usually just let deadlines die on the vine.

Now it's my turn
Do you, personally, believe that the Israeli government and military are DEFENDING THEMSELVES?
Don't look for "Yes but..." cases. YES or NO?
That's a good and fair question.

And of course, 3 years later of razing apartment complexes, hospitals and schools, and no - they're obviously not defending themselves any more

No. The Israeli's do NOT target civilians
Yes. The Israelis DO target civilians, as long as there is 1 suspected, possible terrorist among them. I can't believe you're still telling yourself that.

Afraid not. The Palestinians have been breaking truces and lobbing an endless stream of rockets into Israel for years. Have the Palestinians renounced the genocidal chant: "From the river to the sea Palestinian will be free."? Enough is enough. Time for urban renewal since the Palestinians do not seek peace.

PS: Why should Israelis live in fear of the next Palestinian attack? How may Israelis may die in future rocket attacks if the Palestinians are not disarmed? Since the Palestinians have not renounced their planned genocide against Israel, 3 years of razing apartment complexes, hospitals and schools has been appropriate and could be extended.

War is dirty. Civilians die as collateral damage. Why make an issue of that when the enemy purposely hides amongst the so-called civilians instead of fighting Israel in the open as a conventional army would.

Moreover, do you believe in human sacrifice? That is exactly what the Palestinians are doing. They are sacrificing women and children for the propaganda value. Is a human live worth propaganda? It seems that is much more repugnant than Israel accidentally killing a so-called civilian when that person is surrounded by terrorists shooting at Israelis.

Finally, the Palestinians have chosen this suicidal course of action. They do have the choice to free the hostages, surrender, and renounce their genocidal war of terror against Israel.

If you look at my follow-up to this question, you would see not only my answer but my explanation of why it is still defending Israel.

However, it looks like Israel and Hamas might have reached a point where they will stop shooting for a while. While I believe this cease-fire could be a good thing, history makes me want to wait for the other shoe to drop.

It seems like the USA is experiencing all of the above. Are we heading towards another Civil War?... Does history repeat?

....The US will not be participating in any attack....
