Most farms operate in countries like China, India, and Israel. In Asia, cheap labor and dense phone networks drive large-scale operations, while in Israel, organized agencies manage coordinated influence campaigns. Using “box farming,” small teams control hundreds of phones from a single computer, creating thousands of fake interactions within minutes and reshaping what the internet calls “popular.”

While I assume myself one of the most anti-China persons alive, I can't hide my surprise when people blame only China.
Almost everyone knows that most cyber activities origin is based in China, India, Russia and Israel, But they mostly stay with mentioning only China.

At least as mentioned above, Asian farms are mostly made of small group of networks, while Israel is organized agencies.

lol, when I lived in Japan in the early '80's, I traveled to Korea and the Philippians on occasion. It amazed me the amount of contempt the Asian races had for each other. Once I learned a little history in that part of the world, it cleared things up a little.

More recently, I lived in southern Spain and witnessed the same thing - good to see that isn't just us bad Americans.

Pat, while I understand your point, but to be honest, I think you should try to control yourself and stay calm. To me you seem to heat up too much. While I accept all speech some people don't agree with, is hate speech for them, I also think everything that's liberal, seems the same for you.
We are different people with different ideas. Forums like these are a place for exchanging ideas. I may be wrong, but looking at your posts, I think you push your ideas too hard.

Not to change the subject, but there was once a member "Tera" (amazingly similar to KitaYama IMO), who also educated me once on why Japanese don't often think fondly of Chinese. Tera mentioned a lot of things to give me a "picture" of chinese peoples' impacts when visiting, etc. It really opened my eyes. And I'm sure that it just ONE set of reasons to dislike.

But you're right, black hat computer operations are most definitely the purvue of Israelis, Indians, Koreans and many others - not JUST China.
In my opinion it can and often does come from anywhere.

But for some odd reason, in the US it seems like a lot of telephone and web-related scams originate in Florida. Not sure what it is, maybe the heat down there fries people's minds.

My son visited Japan about a year ago and really enjoyed it. One thing he was surprised at was how much the concept of paying in Cash was still important. I can't remember his report well enough to provide detailed examples, but just somehow as compared to the USA, carrying Cash on your person in Japan was more important than he would have expected. In fact, my brother visited too and reported the same. But otherwise, of course, like everyone, they were impressed with all the modern high tech features of life everywhere - as well as people's good behavior.

Like I constantly say, "it all starts" at Home. Teach people to marry carefully, teach them marriage is for life, produces loving stable homes that children thrive in, and teach children respect and obedience. Obedience - now that's a word you don't hear very often any more! People now seem to emphasize disobedience, which I understand at one point was a necessary reaction to perhaps the overly abusive times from the past....But no matter how much those times and abuses were wrong, Obedience to authorities over you is still a fundamental value that should be learned in life. Unfortunately parents aren't teaching that to children, they're asking them how they feel about everything instead of teaching them that "Sometimes, you'll just have to do what I say because I said it and I'm the authority right now". My Dad taught me that, and boy was it valuable!

There are ways to bring abusive authorities to account or discovery, but completely abandoning the whole concept of authority isn't the way to do it.
