In the Totals line of the designed query set it to Group By, that is presuming you do not want to do any calculations on any of your other fields.

    orderBy report property?

You can do what you want if you have no grouping in the report and you are doing all sorting in the report code. It may not be working because you need to put this line of code in: [Report_MyReport].OrderByOn = True Then again it may not be working because you have grouping in the report.

    can't get rid of duplicates

I would do it in the query. Do you have 2 seperate queries for each report? In the first report query you need to Group your data, this will remove the duplicates. Only put the fields in the query that you wish to output to the report.

    Illegal error after running macro

The 'Illegal Error Message' is what? Does it not give you any more information? If you are talking about an IPF or a GPF it is probably worth looking up the error message on Microsofts' website as this is extremely unlikely to be a problem with your macro but a problem with your MS Office.

To remove the parameter, design the query and take out the criteria for that field. EG: Remove [Please enter the input value:] And put LG in it's place. This may also be in the report, so you may need to remove it from there or it will still ask you for a parameter when run. If you need to...

Cannot export report with varying textbox back color

If I export a report to a snapshot the back colour of text boxes is kept. Try looking on Microsofts website as there are many rules as to why Access will or won't export colours of lines, text boxes etc etc, usually dependant on the colour of the sky. Sorry I can't be more help.
