Is it because I added a second subform? In the earlier versions of my db I only had one subform (it is set up for for 4 subforms and I just added the second subform) and there is no VB on that database. But when I added the second form it now has that in the VB but the button will only work...

Will it matter if it is a Main Form and a Subform? They are linked by the EmployeeID so if I put the code in the Subform it should look at the Main form correct?

Yes, I actually just figured it out as your email popped through. I just had to go to the External Data tab and click on access and do the link like you said and select the tables that have been added and then relink all the tables. Thank you!!

I did a search in here as well as Google to figure out why when I relinked the front end to the back end after adding 2 tables to the back end that the tables did NOT show up on the front end. Only the original tables that I began with. From what I have read there are different ways to do it...

It worked!! Everything stayed the same in the forms with the combo boxes even the ones with table look ups. Thank you thank you!!

I created a back up of the back up of the live database so I can experiment. :) Thank you again!!

They are value lists with the exception of one field. So I can change them at the table level, then go to the form and back in the value list at the form level and this should not cause any corruption to the database with the info?

Quick question? Is it an easy fix to go change all the tables and forms after there is a great deal of info in the database?

I leave the fields in the table view as text fields then in the form change them to combo boxes doing exactly what I would at the table level but in the form instead?

Sorry stupid question but which form do I enter the code in? Main form or the tabbed form? I just did it in the tabbed form and nothing happened.
