I did a search in here as well as Google to figure out why when I relinked the front end to the back end after adding 2 tables to the back end that the tables did NOT show up on the front end. Only the original tables that I began with.

From what I have read there are different ways to do it. One suggestion on here was to create the table on the front end and export it to the back end. I guess I will have to do this going forward.

But my question is, after searching pages upon pages with no luck, since I already have the tables in the back end how do I tell the front end to find them and link them?

Thank you!

All you have to do is, once the backend table has been created IN THE BACKEND, just go to the DataTab and the Get Access data (I'm having a hard time remembering as you are probably in Access 2010 or 2007 and I'm stuck at work with 2003), and then when you do that it should give you the option to link or import. Use link and then select the backend database again and then once clicking ok, you should be good to go.

The frontend would have no concept of a new table unless you link that table.

Yes, I actually just figured it out as your email popped through. I just had to go to the External Data tab and click on access and do the link like you said and select the tables that have been added and then relink all the tables.

Thank you!!
