The enormous amount of energy AI will require in the future may be its downfall. I can envision massive power plants running on fossil fuels and coal just to keep up with peak demand from all things electric. This will not be welcomed by certain climate groups.

If they use your neighbors video feed against you as a surveillance tactic they better have their ducks in a row. Because that's different than your neighbor catching a random crime and cooperating with police.
