I'm afraid that you have a wrong setup for your DB.
Post it here (converted in Access 2003 format)

Do a Compact and Repair.
If still is too large, ZIP it.

This is quite impossible.
How many records have you in this DB ?
Have you a lot of forms ?

This is my mail address: alt.mihai@yahoo.com
Send me the DB (2003 or 2007 format) and I'll try to post it.
Send it to me even if you can't convert to a previous version of Access.
I'll find a way to upload it.

Inform me after you send the DB in order to check also my spam folder.

This is indeed a "large" DB

If someone else wish to take a look is welcome.

I attached to this post the first part of the ziped file.
See my next post for the second part

Sorry for this but, what you name "DB", is a pain.

Now you have my mail address. If you wish, we can establish a live contact, in order to try together to make, from your collections, a database.

Cheers.

Lets try other approach.
You explain the problem you have and I (we) will try to give you a solution.
At least until you will have a better terminology.

The autoheight is a Yes/No property. It is not adjustable. It IS or it is NOT.
So, what you have ??? (... a form based on a table tbl1 and a subform based on other table tbl2. tbl1 and tbl2 are related via a field named... CommonField. The subform is/should be in datasheet view and I have THIS problem....)

As well as in math any question (problem) should have 2 parts: a) Environment description b) the question.

If the environment is a wrong one then the question has no answer.
Example: What is the sound speed ?
The usual answer is 340 m/s . Is this true ? No. The sound speed depend from the environment. It is not the same in steel, in water or in air. Even in air is not the same because the speed of sound depend from many other factors: temperature, pressure, humidity etc.

So, a much better question is:
What is the sound speed in air at 20 Celsius degrees and at the sea level (pressure=1 atm)
Now the 340 m/s is, indeed, the answer.

The same for your DB.
Anything you will try will fail soon or later because you have a wrong setup at tables level - the main environment.
