We have just been upgraded to '03 and while poking around noticed that the tab control changed a little. The main diff was the active tab is slightly easier to pick up because of the highlight line (See attachment). Does anyone know of any other changes in the newer version in the tab control or any other control?

You can always use the .forecolor property in the tab control onEnter and OnExit events to have it cange color and change back. And you can do that with the labels in the fields, but there you use the GotFocuse and LostFocus events. FYI4U.

I didn't see any color properties. And it still does the screwy background thing when you alter the form color...

No, it is coded in. In the OnEnter event of the tab try something like:
Me.TabName.forecolor=vbOrange
You can us the color number that you see in the forecolor property under the all tab of the property window. Then in the OnExit event of the tab try:
Me.TabName.forecolor=vbBlack
I also like the do this with the GotFocus and LostFocus event of txtboxes and things. It helps people see where they are quickly. It take a few minutes to install all of it, but it is kind of cool once it is debugged.

Sorry the .forecolor thing didn't work...

Try it just on a label of a txtbox using the GotFocus and LostFocus events of that txtbox. This is to see if 2003 supports it, 2000 does and I use it all of the time.

It works on a text box, etc. It just doesn't work on a tab control. I guess they figured it was pointless to be able to change the color...
