I have a database with many objects of each kind which I built for my business during the last 10 years using Access 2000 under W2K.
now I want to add another functionality to it, and that is to retreive customer data once the phone rings using the caller id data.
some packages are needed for that, so I went and bought visual studio 2008 and while at it, I also got the web expression suite 2 and office 2007. "love ebay" and installed them all on a new laptop "nice and fast" XP pro.
reading and getting ready to convert Access 2000 to 2007, I learned that some important functionalities are not present in 07, mainly the user level security. oh thats a shame I thought, so I thought to uninstall office 2007 and install office 2000 in my new laptop so that I can continue using Access 2000 and maybe the VS2008 will have the packages needed for the caller id.
any suggestions?
