2007 and Password

We are slowly switching from office 2003 to 2007.

Our db applications are still 2003, but I am using 2007 for continue to modify them.

We use passwords on all of our databases (mde).
This open though another mde (not password protected) that calls the correct database witht the corosponding password. All is well.

Today if the first time I compiled a 2003 db using 2007. Uploaded it to the server and the users download the new version and use it.

However, now (which is new). Everything works and runs fine but when you close the db a window pops up asking for the password. I don't know why.

Any ideas anyone?

Do you have compact on close set? If so, it is probably doing that as it reopens it.

Sorry for the bother. I'm not sure what happened. I recomplied and republished and the problem went away. I suppose I could have set that check box. I usually don't but my first compile with 2007.
