Hoping someone can help me with this, but guessing probably not.

I have designed a report that is actually a 4x6 label that prints to a Zebra printer. The report has text boxes that have data from a query. The text boxes are configured in the property sheet to display the text vertically. I have made the text boxes as long as possible to span the entire length of the label (report). For some reason the text box will not display all of the text in the field even though there appears visually to be plenty of extra space for the text.

please see attached images:
In the print-preview - the text in the middle that says - NERO LINED 12.4X12.4 actually contains more text in the field, this is all it will display. I can adjust the font to make it display a little more but, why would it not span the length (or height in this case) of the report (label) when it appears there is plenty of room for it to do so?

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi,

I have a similar problem I have a report with a memo field on it but no matter what size I make it it will only display the first 240 or so characters?

Can anyone help?

possible solution

hi, this is what i posted on another thread to answer a similar question.

please note that this is for access 97 which will have to be converted into ur particular version of access. good luck with all that.

if dont have any luck then let me know and i'll try to post the code online.

(also note that i didnt create this code, its just this brillant guy named Stephan who creates dbs for obscure probs or features not readily available in access. also check out his newsgroups, they r pretty informative, but that is mainly up to you. )

anyways, the link is as follows.
http://www.lebans.com/limitcharsmemo.htm

if that doesnt work, then browse the site. it could be there.

good luck.:)
