So,
I am getting there.
For now, I have all the tables I need/want.
I have designed some forms. The way this will work eventually, is the form titled 'Opening' will be what you see, and you click on what you want to do...
If you look at the 'project' Form, this is my main part where I enter my project info. This is the first point in to where I am stuck.... We discussed before that the way I wanted to do this was to have a certain amount of Fuse Boxes, and they differ on each job...
So, what you will notice firstly, is the Power Supply option. If you look on the 'power' tab, you will see that there is the Power info that I need to fill in there already for Supply 1. What I want to do, is be able in the 'project information' tab to use the combo box, and say put '2' there, and then the same supply info I need to enter, come up for Supply 2 - but only if its selected. The same would apply when I press 3, Supplies 1 - 3 will be shown and so on.... Does this make sense?
If you take a look at the 16ch Fuse Box, I want the same kind of thing to happen here, but slightly different. The 16ch Box by the way, is just an example of how data will be entered - I couldn't be bothered to put in 36 sets of boxes just now.... So, if we imagine that the 16ch Box is actually a 36ch box - using the combo box, can I enter how many boxes of each type are there, and then have each tab as each box, if that makes sense? So I have a tab per fuse box, the qty of which I set in the 'project information' tab.. Does any of this make sense.
Before anyone says anything, I know I have random boxes in places, and I know I haven't named all fields etc. I will iron this out, but I wanted to get the above questions answered first, in case I need to do something completely different, and have to start again.
Lastly, forms for entering appliances and entering fuse boxes. I am sure this is easy, but I have done individual text boxes, and want them to update the tables when the command button is pressed. I did look it up in Help, but it wasn't overly useful - can anyone help? Sure its simple, its most likely because I am a beguinner.
Many Thanks
