Hi,
I don't think this is possible but I'm gonna throw it out there anyways.
I ave a small DB which captures particular work done and also plans future work. Two fields in my primary table are Job Status and Job Date. The Job Date field is in the format "mm/yyyy". So jobs which have been done look something like this:
Job Status | Job Date
COMPLETE | 06/2003
However when I plan work for the future I do not know what month during that year it will be carried out. However I want to indicate I have it planned for a particular year. So I was hoping for something like:
Job Status | Job Date
PLANNED | **/2005
Needless to say I've run into a brick wall trying to do this with Access date formats. Am I not approaching it from the right angle or is it impossible? I'd prefer not to have to write custom formats and then have to manipulate them when I could "potentially" use the std Access date format.
Hope these ravings make some sense to someone.
Thanks,
Liam
