Ok. Since "upgrading" to Office 2007 and hence Access 2007, my continuous forms still scroll with the mouse wheel but my single forms do not. It this disabled in ACC 2007 permanently or can I re-enable it somehow? I don't have any code preventing use of the scroll button on the mouse and it affects all dbs; even ones that I haven't created.

I don't run v2007, but I do know that it you can set properties for the mousewheel and that the Default is, as you say, to scroll thru datasheet/continuous views but not scroll thru Single View forms. Most people don't want to have the scroll present for Single View, afraid that users will accidentally change a record and enter data on the wrong record. I'm pretty sure, though, that you can set it up to scroll thru these forms. I suspect you'll find something in the Event Properties tab of the form (or whatever 2007 has) if not use Help for the details.

I can see an "On Mouse Wheel" event, but not sure how to use it or detect which direction the mouse wheel is going to direct record navigation to the previous or next record depending on the current position. I can work out the position thing but just need to find out how to detect wheel direction and then evaluate and pass on to navigate to appropriate records.

Great! It's a bit slower, but it works. Thanks.
