I have a rather large project that has been developed in Access 2000. Generally all my distributions have been to PC's with Access available. However, I do find that there are a few that don't. Obviously this is where Run time would be useful. Having never used it I have a few questions if someone could possibly help:-

1 If I have a program developed in Access 2k can it be converted to the MOD version to include runtime?
2 If there is a conversion process is it automatic or does it require extensive reworking of the project?
3 Is it still possible to purchase MOD 2000 or do I need to get an updated version and if so will that still work with Office 2k?

Thats about it. Thanks

Can anyone offer any answers to the above questions please?

1. I don't know what the MOD version is. Are you talking about the MDE? In any event, it would have nothing to do with the Access runtime. Each version of Access is capable of creating an .mde from an .mdb.
2. There is no conversion process. The runtime doesn't alter your database at all. You do however need to make certain types of changes in order to ensure smooth running under the control of the runtime engine. For example, you need to use custom menus and you need to include complete error trapping.
3. Microsoft no longer sells the developer's edition for A2K. You could try to find it on ebay. Its original price was around $500. The version for A2003 is called Visual Studio Tools for Microsoft Office.
