Hi- need urgently Access 2003 developer extension and runtime. Although I have all my clients applications on 2010, some of them still prefer to run the application on 2003. Someone know where to get it? Probably as a part of the Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System, which is overkill for me- only need the developer extension kit. Thanks Olearnth

You would have to try to find a copy on Ebay or something like that and you run the risk of it being either a counterfeit copy or a copy that Microsoft has killed the license for since it has been abused. It doesn't mean you can't find a good copy but you must be careful.

I would suggest that those users resign themselves to change and let you use the currently free and available 2010 runtime. I know change is hard for some but sometimes "you gotta do what you gotta do." (to quote Futurama).

With Runtime it doesn't matter what version of Access they have, or even if they have Access. Runtime is a seperate program that runs the app. It requires NO Access to be installed only Runtime.

With 2007 onwards Runtime is free. The Deploy tool (also free) allows you to package the app, with or without Runtime, and stipulate whether the app should use Runtime even if Access is installed.

You app will be so much more professional.
