Hi there

We had an Access 2000 database built for us about 8 years ago to store business information in. Built into the database were Event Procedures to remind staff to save data before exiting the form they were on. We have suddenly realised that this has stopped working... not sure when but we sure it's only recently, no changes have been made to the database (apart from a few new reports), since we migrated this database over to 2003 about 2 years ago. Other event procedures like entering text in a date field work.

I'm not an Access Expert or pretend to know anything about VBA, but do know my way around forms tables design etc.

Anyone got any ideas ?

One possible approach is to pop up a message box
reminding the user to back up the files you were
mentioning.

A VBA code could be written in the On Unload event
of the form you are interested e.g.:

Msgbox "A reminder to back up files....", vbinformation
(or vbCritical if you choose to be more forceful).
