I would like to know if there´s any way to get a Runtime for my applications built on ACCESS 2003. I need to know how to work with the Runtime also, if there´s any. Thanks a lot!!!

Runtime 2003 is available to those with a Developer Extensions licence.

However Acess 2007 Runtime quite happily runs mdb databases and is free to anyone.
Just download it from Microsoft.

BTW Developer Extensions for 2007 is free.

Thank you, GalaxiomAtHome. I´ll try it

Developer extensons run just as part of 2007 and couldn't be used just with 2003.

Sorry I wasn't clearer.
Developer Extensions was available for 2003 as a paid optional extra. It included stuff to package mdb applications.

You can just download Access Runtime 2007 free from Microsoft. It will run mdb databases but you will have to deal with the packaging of your mdb application manually unless you can get hold of the Extensions for 2003.

I use a free tool called advanced installer. there are plenty other ones out there for you to use as well instead of writing your own.

Do Developer Extensions provide other things in addition to the install.

Mike,

I don't think they do. in acc7, there is a SHORT menu inside the MANAGE portion of the ribbon button when you have ext's on your machine. there is a "package solution" item in there and a couple of others, but i don't remember what they are.
