Ok I give up! I need help. I have a database I migrated from 2003 to 2007 that contains custom toolbars and the 'Close' button in my print preview toolbar no longer works. Actually, it sort of works it just won't close the report. If you have a form open as well and you click the form so it has the focus and then click the 'close' button it will close the form...for the report it does nothing.

I can't see what the properties for this button because in its wisdom Microsoft no longer offers support for them because they want you to use the ribbon. They'll display your old custom toolbar but you can't edit or fix it. So I've gone back to an old machine running '03 and modified a toolbar in the MDB to try something new. I thought I'd try to modify the button there, then import the toolbar into my '07 database and test. However I seem to be unable to import that toolbar into '07. I've used the import/export screen where I clicked 'Options' and checked off 'Toolbars' but it seems to do nothing as I'm still looking at my old close button.

Sooo that's my long story! Does anybody have an idea of why my close works on forms but not reports? Know how I can import an updated version of the toolbar from an '03 database into my '07 file and replace the existing toolbar? Run into the same or similar issue? I'm guessing it trys to run the 'Close' macro which is supposed to close whatever the active 'thing' is be it a form/report/whatever but that doesn't seem to work either.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Same problem

Has anyone found a fix for this? I have some users with Access 2003 and some with 2007, so I can't use the ribbon. All the buttons I created, in Access 2003, on a custom toolbar for printing work, except the Close button. How do you close out a report from a custom toolbar in Access 2007?
