Hello all,

I am trying to shift from access 2003 to access 2007. I want to create customized toolbar in access 2007 but can't find the way to do that. In access 2003, I usualy go to View>Toolbars>Customize options and create/modify my tool bar. But how to do it in access 2007.

I have tried to find out on google but perhaps I am not clear about how to ask query.

Thanks

I hope it helps.

Only Microsoft would call a transition from a graphic interface where you can drag and drop to a system that requires coding an "upgrade".

Click on the Office button in the top left hand corner, select Access Options in the bottom right hand corner of the box that appears, then select Customize and take it from there.

As far as I know, that will let you customize the Quick Access toolbar using commands from Access such as creating forms or opening data sources. What if you want to make your own commands to open a form from the database (i.e. you want to hide the navigation window and give the user a toolbar or menu bar that runs the objects of your database)? Also, I don't know of any way to use that to create menu bars such as the standard File|Edit|View that you see in most Windows applications. I think that Access07 tries to get away from that making you use ribbons for which there is no easy interface.

I could be wrong about all this but this is what I see and what I've read. I'd be very happy if someone can demonstrate otherwise.

Hi all,
Thanks for valueable replies. Perhaps I did not make my requirement clear. I want that I put some buttons into tool bar, for example, when I click one of them new data entry form open. And when I pressother button, report of certain type opens. I have attatched picture of samples how it will look like in access XP and access 2007. I know how to make it in Xp but not in 2007.

The result will be that after addition, when I click Add-ins tab, all my short links will be listed in Ribbon.
By the way is it necessary to use some other tool to customize Add-ins Ribbon or write some code manualy?

How to do that

Thanks
