Access 2007 is behaving very peculiar concerning sizing of forms. For example, some open at an enormous size (25 plus inches) when the width size in the property box is 8 inches. I've tried various combinations of Auto Center, Auto Resize and Fit To Screen -- all with bazarre, unpredictable results. Does anyone know if there is an "issue" (bug) in Access 2007 Trial concerning form sizing? Thanks.

beta for ya. Best to get feedback off to MS and it'll get sorted.

Thanks ... However, this is no longer a Beta. It is the trial version (that anyone can download from Microsoft). I would have thought a problem of this magnitude would have been fixed in the Beta. And, I can't find anything on the Microsoft sites that address this behavior. Thanks again.

well treat it as a beta -it's MS at the end of the day. TBH stick with 2003 because the new licensing terms theyhave are not gonna get much sales.

I am having the same problem, did you ever fix it? on access 2007?

Don't run 2007 myself, and may never, but a quirk of all versions of Access is that if one form is opened maximized, all forms opened thereafter will open maximized, regardless of their individual setting, the exception, I think, being forms opened in Dialog mode. The cure, in each form's OnLoad event, is to place the command

Me.Restore

which tells Access to return the form to its designated dimensions.

me.restore gave me an error, but i took out the docmd.maximize that was in there, and it works now!

Well, if you had docmd.maximize in the opening of the form, Access was doing exactly what you told it to! Don't you hate it when that happens? :D

yep!!!! Dont know why it was only on 3 forms.. but now i know... live and learn! Thanks
