I was wondering about the difference between 2013 / 2010 functions. I'm following a course at the moment which is using 2010, although I have 2013.

One example of a difference is the following -

This is the 2010 Find box, with 'Customers' in the 'Look in' field

ACCESS find 1

This is 2013

Access 2013

There's no 'Customers' in the 'Look in' field, though there is 'Current Document'

I'm guessing that this serves the same purpose.

Was just wondering if there were any major differences between them or if It'd be fine to carry on learning from 2010 using 2013...?

Is Customers the name of the table? I'm using A2010 and I see the Current field and Current document options. I don't see the table name. Are you sure the first picture is from A2010? If so, in what context was it opened?

Hi Pat - I'm not too sure. The one that I thought was 2010 is a screen shot from an online course thing (so it's a screen shot of a screen shot)

I'm sure it's cool, just wasn't too sure if there were any major changes or anything that I should be aware of.

It may be Access 2007. I use Access 2007 and my Find and Replace pop up looks like your screenshot. If I press Ctr+F and I am in a form LookIn has the name of the Form.

I would recommend having the same version as the course. There are slight differences between each version that may trip you up but perhaps it may not be that bad between 2010 and 2013.

The Find and Replace dialog has changed to Current Field/Current Document from Access 2010 and up. IMHO, it really should say Current Field/Current Table but that's just me...
