Hi All

We have recently moved from access 2007 to access 2010. In access 2007, when viewing the objects (i.e. the tables, or queries, or forms, etc) it was possible to sort them by created/modified date, or, in the case of queries, sort them by query type (i.e. select queries, then make-table queries, then append queries etc). This facility seems to be lost in access 2010 - or am I just failing to see how to do it?

Thanks for any help.
Les

To change what you see in the object view in 2010, click on the little circle with the down pointing triangle (see attachment). Also, if you right click on that same bar where the triangle is, there are more options. One I particularly like is the Search Bar, it allows you to type in part of the name and will show all the objects containing that, which comes in handy when needing to find things.

Hi sxschech

Many thanks for your reply - and apologies for the delay in my response, I've been away for a few days.

I knew about the "little circle with the down pointing triangle", but I didn't know about the right-click options on that!! I can see that here I can sort queries by type - and so I can see the groups of append queries, make-table queries, etc., which is exactly what I wanted.

So, very many thanks.
Les
