Access 2k on 2k workstation NT server

Performance VERY slow with Access 2000 on a Windows 2000 workstation connected to an NT server. We also have older NT workstations which work at least 10 times faster on the same server. Any ideas to speed it up? I have installed Service Pack 3 on the Windows 2000 workstation, without any effect. Thanks!
