I am using a Microsoft template for an address book (found on the Office templates site). When modifying data or adding data I get an error message which I have attached to this post. The database is in a trusted location so I believe it is a bug in the macro.

Help please.

I am running Win 7 Ultimate 32bit and Office Pro 2007

Hi,

Can you point me to the specific database template you downloaded on Office.com?

Hi

I have attached the template for you to examine.

No, you haven't. You may have THOUGHT you did but you didn't.

One quick question for you though - does everyone have read/write/delete permissions on the folder where the backend is located and where the frontend is? The reason I ask is that I found a post on another forum which stated that can also cause the error 2950 so just thought I'd better ask about that.

Also, where is your trusted location? Did you put the frontend in a trusted location or are you thinking that the backend is in a trusted location you wouldn't need to do that (you would need to by the way).

Woops I attempted to but obviously failed!

The database is in a trusted folder on my local M/C so no file sharing involved. This folder has most of my other access databases which function without issue.

I do not believe there is a font / back end issue here.

Over to you!

Which folder do you have it in? Hopefully not in the root directory and hopefully not in a folder under C:\Program Files. Also, if you set a certain folder as trusted and the database is in a subfolder, did you remember to check the box to include subfolders?

No, it is a folder called libraries/ documents/access data
and yes I did include subfolders.
Cheers
