Hi all,

I have a db that was made in access 2000. The problem is that we have other dbs that are in access 97. Is there a command line that I can place into my db that will open my db using access 2000 only and not 97.

The users have access 97 and 2000 installed locally on their machine. Right now they have to manually right click the database and choose access 2000.

Thanks.

Create a shortcut to the data and insert the path to the Access 2000 exe followed by the path to the db. This will then only open with Access 2000.
Like this:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office2000\MsAccess.exe" "C:\db\MyDb.mdb"

Hello,

thanks a lot. That did the trick. I just found something similar to that while searching through googles also. Thanks much.
