I'm running a name and address list report from a db I created with the Access 97 wizard. I wish to use the SpouseName field in a list of names, but some of the SpouseNames fields are blank. The report leaves in the ampersand that I am using to separate the firstname and the spousename on the report.
For instance, if John Smith has a wife, his entry looks like this:
Smith, John & Mary
If Joe Brown doesn't have a wife, his entry looks like this:
Brown, Joe &
I've poked around a bit to see if I can find an expression that does the same thing in other of the sample reports, but no luck.
I haven't used Access much, and won't be using it much in the future, so I'm finding my learning curve pretty steep in this instance. If someone could provide the string I should write in the expression builder, that would be much appreciated! Failing that, a starting point regarding which function or syntax I should use would be good, too. Thanks!
