Question Access Bar Code Scan

Hi I am trying to use a psc Powerscan barcode reader to scan a field with 5 number, but every time that I scan the * show up in the end I try to use imput mask for 5 digits but them access place the * on the next field.
Any suggestion?

Why is your scanner transmitting "*"? That's not usually part of a bar code. How about resetting/reprogramming the thing to send eg a Carriage Return or some other end-of-input thing, like most scanners I have seen?

Do you know any way to instruct access to just grab 5 digits and delete the last one
