Access XXXX Developer's Handbook, by Getz, Litwin & Gilbert (XXXX being the version). I've got several books; that's the one that's all beat-up from use.

Also, at the very bottom of every message, there is a "Sponsored Links" section. One of the links is "Microsoft Access Books". I personally like the Wrox Press books, although I haven't used them in quite some time. Sometimes, it's more fun to figure this crap out on the fly. ;)

You didn't mention which Access version you're using and that does make a difference. If you're using Access 2003 I highly recommend MVP John Viescas' Microsoft Office Access 2003 Inside Out. The book covers everything *and* the kitchen sink when it comes to Access.

If you're using Access 2007 I highly recommend Microsoft Office Access 2007 Inside Out.

<cough shameless plug>
;)
