Hi

I am looking for a book or poster or something that can show me all the access controls and what they do. My VB.NET version came with several posters. I have looked at many books but can not find one that enumerates and explains all of them. I would also like to get similar information for the Active X controls included with access.
Thanks

Holy guacamole! You don't want much...

I've never personally seen such a reference. Except that the "native" controls are all defined in Access Help. Using the Access "Search" function for Help, the single word "Controls" gave me about 20 references including one that pointed to a list of control types.

Now, the "ActiveX" controls list reference categorically does not exist - because too many vendors are capable of creating their own ActiveX controls with their products. The moment anyone finished writing such a book, some obscure vendor would come out with yet another control. Hell, Microsoft isn't sitting still either.

As to the "non-standard" (really, just "extended") controls,...

You might try to use the "extended" tools icon, select one of the resulting controls, and then use the F1 key to get help on the selected control. The extended tools often contain their own help.

Of course, life gets more complicated because of the need to establish a reference to any of the non-standard controls. And if they are foreign, you have to register them, too. But hey, it is doable.

Tell you what... if you wanted to do the legwork and write the book yourself, I'm sure you could find some buyers.

Thanks
