Is there a way to make a function/query anything that can copy over to excel?

I mean update a sheet in excel or something like that? :)

Thank you!

You can have a table in Access that is linked to a worksheet or worksheet range in Excel and that would allow you to either update values in the worksheet from the table in Access, or vice versa.
Is this the kind of functionality you had in mind?

That is exactly what I have in mind!
How do I link a table to a excel sheet?

Is it possible to link a query?

Just use the File/Get External Data/Link tables wizard. Choose xls as the file type and browse for your Excel file then select the appropriate worksheet or named range as your data source.
This will now give you a 2 way option to enter/edit data

Thank you david!
How ever I think I want it the otherway around.. I want to link my table to my worksheet..
So the result from the table gives the values to the worksheet!

Oh I see you want to be able to edit the data in the workbook, that's a lot more complex if you're trying to edit the workbook you're linked too. I've not tried to edit a currently linked excel data source. It may be a case of creating a temporary table of fresh or edited data in the database, temporarily breaking the connection to the excel source, exporting the updated data to the same workbook which will effectively overwrite the workbook and re-linking.
You may need to explain in more detail with examples of how you'd like to edit/update the excel source

Here's my assignement to be exact!

I've got a table called StructDerivBonds. What I've been assigned to do is somehow make this table appear in an excel sheet.

This table is refreshed once a day, therefore I need to have it linked somehow so that the excel sheet is refreshed aswell!

So basically I need to have something either in Access or Excel that allows me to update the values in the worksheet!

This Excel sheet, is this the only worksheet or is it part of a larger workbook.
If it's a single worksheet then you don't need to link it to your database, just export it once each day after your table has been refreshed, the original workbook just gets overwritten each day.
If the worksheet is part of a larger workbook then I'd suggest exporting your table to an excel worksheet such as TableExport.xls , then go back to your original workbook and link the worksheet in question to the newly created TableExport.xls
Once again the export takes place each day after your table has been refreshed.

Thank you! It is a part of a larger book. So Im going to have to go with that alternative. :)
