Access to Excel Importng data and displayed in html

Hi All,

I have a sharepoint list, which I opened in MS Access.

Then I created a query for the columns I need and then tried to import that query data into MS Excel 2007.

All columns displayed properly except one column. That column data displayed with html tags around the data.

Eg: It displayed as <div> project </div>
I am expecting just Project as data in that column.

Any ideas? Please let me know. Thanks

Welcome to the Forum,

When you look at the query do you see the tags? When you go into design view and select the field and open the properties what is the format that is being shown?

Also open a fresh Excel workbook and then show your Database Side by Side (use the task bar and right mouse button) then look to drag the query by its name into the Workbook into Cell A1, what does it show you then for the Column?

Tried to open properties in Access it is just displaying as source. No other properties.

When I try to drag the query into excel, it copied perfectly. No HTML tags. but I cannot use refresh functionality.

I need to use refresh functionality but I need that column to display with no html tags.Want to let you know that in sharepoint list this column datatype is rich text(not plain text).
