Hello...
I am trying to export an Access table to a csv file.
I have several fields in the table that are type double and go to 3 decimal places. When I export the data, it truncates it to 2 decimal places.
I changed the table design from "Auto" decimal places to 3. and that didn't help.
When I am in the Table Export wizard, it shows all 3 decimal places, but when I look at the text file, it's only 2.
Anybody ever have this problem?
Thanks in advance!
Greg

Apparently, according to the Microsoft website, this is by design. I have read several ideas from several websites and have found only the following procedure to work:

Change all fields to text in the table before exporting. When you go through the export procedure in Access, the data will show quotes around the fields. You can remove the quotes by selecting [none] for text qualifier on the second screen of the wizard.

CSV File and Decimal Places

Start - -> Control Panel - -> Regional Settings.

Select Customize (windows xp) you will find Decimal places settings. Change to 3 and click Apply and close.

Try Exporting the Table again in CSV Format.

@apr pillai I don't know who you are or where you're from and if you're even still around but this comment is very underrated and still kicking goals in 2022.

I visited 30+ websites and posts looking for the answer to this problem and everyone mentioned "This is a bug in Access" with no solution. You were the first person that actually pointed out it is a regionalization "feature" of windows..

I was a able to fix my data exports for a project very quickly with this. :)

Thankyou!!
