Fixing this db. I need to create phone fields that accept not only US numbers but Intl numbers as well.

Is there code I can wirte to check the phone field and prompt the user based on whether they are in the US or not?

As a suggestion could you not create 2 phone fields - one to hold the country code if outside the US and the other to hold the area code and number?

The other thing that springs to mind is that how would you tell the difference between US numbers and Canadian numbers since I believe the area codes have the same 3 digit format and also you have the same country code of '1'

Robert is correct, and I believe all telephone numbers in all Caribbean nations are also in the same format as both US and Canadian numbers (1 for the country code, 3 digit area code, 3 digit exchange, 4 digit number).
