Access VBA vs. VB .Net

I'm a newbie with a simple question for the experts. Say you wanted to build a database for distribution that was multiuser and worked over a server; given a choice would you build a database entirely in Access using modules for full functionalitly, or use VB .Net to develop the forms and code to link to your tables in Access?

Is there basically no difference or are there advantages of one method over the other? If so what?
