Access VS Web Intranet

I'm working on a project, where I need to justify moving from Access (as a split database) versus an Access database that uses a Web browser to access the database (probably will be developed with Dreamweaver). I'm interested in advantages and disadvantages of both implementations. If anybody can point me in a direction, I would appreciate it very much. Thanks.
