Hi all,

Could someone help me in inserting the correct syntax for Lotus Notes to accept a link to a database.
I am able to send certain fields of a form to the body of a lotus notes, however i'd like to include a link to a file "S:\Database\main.mdb"
This "S:\Database\main.mdb" appears in the Lotus Notes body but not as a hyperlink.
Does someone know how I can make it appear as a link, so the recipientes of the e-mail can go directly to the database from within the Lotus Notes mail.

Many thanks for your help.

re add hyperlink in notes

Not sure if you've worked this out yet. If you are just trying to have a hyperlink within an email body take a user to a database residing on a shared drive try this:

Highlight the text which is to become the link. then go to Create/Hotspot/Link hotspot and you should be able to just paste in the S:\Database\main.mdb as a url link.

Truckfin thanks for your feed-back.

Your suggestion implies that this be done within Lotus Notes, however what i'm looking for is an automated method.
I.e., just as a predefined message is sent from Access to the body of a user's Lotus Notes i was hoping to include a hyperlink to the database also in the lotus note's body.

I'm unaware of any syntax (or other) to make Lotus Notes assume it as a link when the user receives it.
Searching the forum i've seen this question being poped up a few times, and to my knowledge has gone unanswered so far.

Thanks again,
Ode.
