It it me or are we getting a lot of ads lately on the forum?

Does anyone really think I'm going to buy something from them based on an unsolicited ad on the forum?

Go back to spam and junk faxes guys. At least we can filter out most of those.

By the way I have a 2002 Ford Focus with only 72,000 km. Make me an offer:D

It's not just you, the little bottom feeders are everywhere lately.

Based on the sentence structure I'd have to say they aren't the brightest, but I've also heard that spammers are using bots to generate this junk.

Or maybe preventing posts until accounts are verified. Or maybe giving more of the seasoned forum members the ability to ban, kick, remove the offending posters and/or threads. The more enforcers we have on watch, the better.

Accounts have to be confirmed in order to post.

Every member of the forum has the ability to help enforce. If you see some spam then use the
report.gif
button to report the post. This sends an email to the moderators notifying them of a reported post. Then they deal with it.

I've been doing that, with the ones in the ASP forum that MrsGorilla mentioned... but they don't seem to get deleted in a hurry
