Hi all

I'm after a bit of advise on creating an access database - i've been thinking of doing this for years but this year I WILL :o.

I want to put all my names & addresses into a database & print the addresses out onto some sticky labels - it will saves hours in time not to mention the wrist. !!!

I have a label printer & also some A4 sticky labels - all i need now is some suggestions on the best way to do it......thats where i hoped you guys would come in.

I attempted something last year but failed because 1 address was rolling onto the end of the previous address when printing to the single width label printer. !!! I couldn't figure out how to insert a 'form feed' or similar to force the next address to be on the next label sheet.

This year i have stupidly offered to do some for other (elderly) family members too......i kind of hoped they wouldn't accept my offer but hey-ho !!

So guys any suggestions, samples or hints & tips would be much appreciated.

I think it may be that you need to change the labels to use Can Shrink = Yes and Can Grow = No. You Then Set the controls to the max size, then will shrink as needed.

You may also want to look at this:
MultipleLabelsOffset.mdb

I think I may have a sample database that you might could use. I'll do some searching and be back ...

Create a report and use the label wizard.

Brilliant ideas - wasn't expecting anything that in depth but you've hit the sweet spot with that 1.

Many thanks and best wishes for xmas & the new year.......now i'm off to find all the scraps of paper with addresses on them :)

You're welcome!

We did the easy part. :D

You have the harder part. You have to do the data entry!

pain this year then but at least next year will be OK ! :p

Loading the data the first time is the most time consuming. Next year should be very quick!:)
