Hi

Sorry if this has been asked before but I've searched the archives and can't find what I'm after.

In a combo box I wish to automate the pressing of F9 in the AfterUpdate event procedure.

This appears to be the only way I can have the data requery in the other combo box on the same form. I have tried endless combinations of Me.Requery to no avail, all should work I know.

Thanks

Did you try

Me.othercombobox.requery

??

Requery

Hi

I have tried these that you see here:

cboManager.Requery

Me.forSiteName.forContactsJobTracking.cboManager.Requery
Me.Parent!forContactsJobTracking.Form.Requery
Me.Parent!forContractsJobTracking.Form.cboManager.Requery
Me.cboManager.Requery

It must be something very simple.

The only way I can get it to requery is to press F9.

I have searched help and the archives and there is very little on this topic.

Any suggestions would be very, very welcome.

Try searching the faq or sample forum for "Cascading combobox" the solution is in there.... You will find among this list this
post from Mile-O-Phile AKA our mod SJ McAbney.
If you look at that I am sure you can resolve your issues.

Sorted

Thanks for the reply.

I don't know why requery didn't work on my combo box but after hours of suffering I came across a solution that worked, what joy.

This worked:

Me.Form.Recalc

I hope this helps someone else.
