Every time I logon my Windows 10 box I am getting 2 annoying splash screens wanting me to create a Microsoft Account and upgrade to Windows 11. If I press the skip button, then it asks if I want extended support. Is there a registry setting to turn this off. Why does Microsoft have to be so annoying?

They may be attempting to send you a message, but it's just a wild guess.

Well I'm not interested in creating an MS Account, upgrading to Win11, or purchasing extended support. When Win7 and 8.1 reached EOL, MS initially marketed extended, but after a while they provided it for free, and to current day they still provide definition updates for Defender.

Due to a machine hard failure, I'm now on Win 11 on a new box, but my wife's Win10 is still going OK. As long as our antivirus package stays good, we'll be OK. She hasn't told me about getting annoying prompts like that. But I'm damned if I know what I might have done to turn it off. Could be that because of something we did some time ago, she might already have an account, so no prompts for that.
