another simple combobox question

Sorry if this is not in the right place.

My problem is filtering a combobox.

I have a combobox on a form bound to QryCustomers, when the form opens the focus is on the combobox and when i start typing the combo drops down showing the list of all the customers.

What i want is a filter as you type combo box but to filter to the letters i type from left to right.

i.e if i type C it shows only the customers starting with C and not all the customers with a C in there name.

Thanks for the reply rg, very helpful but i cant quite get it to work for me probably because i dont quite understand the first part saying:

Paste this into the General Declarations section of your form?s module

The parts i dont understand is what is the general declaration section and the form module

could you shed some light on this for me please

If you open a form in design mode and press <ALT> F11 it will take you to the code module for the form. The general declarations section of this module is:
AFTER...
Option Compare Database
Option Explicit
...and BEFORE any SUBs or Functions.

ok maybe i did understand it then cause i think i have followed the instructions correctly but it is not work so i obviously havent.

It is still giving me the complete list instead of the correct values based on the entered letter.

Any ideas

How about doing a Compact and Repair and then zip up your db and post it here. It will save some time troubleshooting.
