Append query to move records older than?

Morning all,

I've had a lot of help on here recently automating fields in our database to enable me to share it across our new VPN.

This is now up and running however we are now seeing massive performance issues with our everyday form as it pulls all 84000 records directly from the table stored on our server.

Of course, pulling all this information across a VPN can get rather slow.

This dataset has been running since 2004. Obviously we do not need to see all that data every time. I've created a copy of our main table, and would like to create an append query to move data from our main table to the "archive" table.

We have a field [Date Rec] which is the date the line was created.

I'm struggling with the criteria in order for it to select data outside of say 12 months of today?

WHERE [Date Rec]<DateAdd("yyyy",-1,Date());
