Heres a new one -

Been working all morning on a new form - everything has been working great but... NOW... all of a sudded I get an error message when I try to open the form telling me that the "The On Open Event you entered in the event property setting produced the following error: Arguement Not Optional"

Geez thats funny but OK I say, I comment out all of the code for the 'On Open event and... whalla - same message?!?!?

OK again I say - I DELETE ALL THE CODE FROM THE FORM and... presto - same freakin' message!!! AHHHHH!!!!

This is one of the reasons I am starting to lean from disliking access to HATING ACCESS - this crap is unacceptible... I have never, ever run into anything like this in VB or C...

Any ideas of a fix besides the old "try and import all objects"as I've already tried this standard access trick...

thanks and sorry for the rant - been a long morning :D

Sounds weird. Ok, try opening the form in designer mode. On the properties of the form, move to the events tab. If there is anything there for open/load delete it.

Save and close.

If the mdb has no data/sensitive data, compile, compress and zip up and post here I'm sure someone here will be able to help you.

thanks for the post - I actually got this working yesterday (just forgot to delete this thread or post back that I got it resolved)...

For those interested - to fix my problem I had to re-import all of the objects into another new db from the other imported db... THEN it finally worked ok but I still lost alot of time and work...

Its pretty sad when one of the main ways to fix problems in a development software is to import objects and delete corrupted files... This should tell you something about the software and its status among its peers by the company that produces it....

thanks again for your interest in helping,
Kev
